So the Avenue Q crew came to Dallas to perform. It's a rather unusual puppet musical, and me? I'd never seen it before. My roomies were familiar with a few of the songs from it, aka 'The Internet Is For Porn'. Heh. I knew the song, just not what it was from. So we bought tickets and spent our evening at Bass Hall.

It rocked. Not only was it a generally adult based musical, but I got to see some old grannies in the orchestral area get thoroughly horrified a few times. It was SO worth it to see all those too-well dressed people gasp in horror and shield their eyes at cultural art. Mwahaha.

I may eventually try to locate a DVD release of the show. It's really good, if your morals aren't still stuck in the 50's. Show's geared at younger generations of adults; I wouldn't take a child in there. There's some cursing and an utterly hilarious sex scene. Not your typical muppets.

Yesterday at work I clonked my head REALLY hard on the underside of my bench. It hurt like a bugger, and today I have a beautiful welt on the back of my head. Yesterday was definitely not one of my better days. I currently feel slow and clumsy in the workshop, after seeing other people in there flying through watch repairs. I only get a few done per day. I'll catch up eventually, I guess.

Over the weekend of the 4th I discovered a new horror: Pokemon Red. ....I got really, REALLY bored at the lake and snatched up my nephew's DS, which happened to have it in there. After spending a couple of hours playing with that particular brand of evil, I wound up borrowing it from him. My soul has officially been forfeited to the horrors of Pokemon. I guess Hell really CAN freeze over.
